During this session participants will be given a glimpse into how we started a K-5 STEM/Media program in our district. Participants can expect to learn a variety of things including tips on how to integrate technology and literature, different ways to integrate technology into lessons using a variety of tools such as robots and coding programs, and lesson ideas to bring back to their own schools. This is a session that would introduce participants to the many great tools and resources that are available and share what we have found to be successful in our classrooms. We would then like to share lessons and activities that were loved by our students. This would include bringing many of the different robots we use and giving participants a chance to explore them as well. Our hope would be that participants would leave with at least one new idea or goal for starting and/or improving their own STEM program.
