Participants will have a clear understanding of how the school district thoughtfully: 1. formed a committee district wide with different stakeholders with regards to generative AI 2. Came up with a statement about generative AI for both students and teachers 3. Organized professional development for teachers 4. Educated students on generative AI use 5. Reevaluate decisions/tools throughout the year 6. Visit PLCs throughout the school year for additional support Participants will learn about the struggles, successes and lessons learned from the experience. It is one thing to say that use this tool, or use that tool, but it is another thing to actually share the experience of how things were implemented and to what degree. We plan to set up the presentation as an introduction of information, a question/answer period, as well as an opportunity for participants to experience some student examples as well.
