Educators attending this session will learn how easy it is to integrate tech tools into their current classroom activities and will be inspired with new ideas to enhance their instruction. We will give concrete examples of how we use Universal Design for Learning to substitute technology, provide ideas to modify and re-design activities to incorporate tech into multiple content areas across grade levels. Some examples we will provide include using Google slides and Canva to create stop motion animations into presentations, utilizing programs such as WeVideo, Scratch, or Flip to “show what you know” as formative assessment tools, using 3D design tools such as Tinkercad to extend projects- such as creating game board pieces to go with a game created at the end of a unit or novel study. Giving students choice in their learning gives them ownership and ability to express their individuality.
