Participants will be able to: Load/operate/troubleshoot a Scrib3d pen. Understand the safety precautions needed in order to use pens with students. Design & create a 3D object Understand best practices, such as using a mat or laminated templates. Be comfortable using the 3D pen for their own use or with students. The purpose of the session is to allow the opportunity for participants to explore the 3D pens. 3D pens are less expensive than a 3D printer & do not need the use of a computer or software in order to create an object. 3D pens can be useful to people of all ages & ability levels. The invention of 3D pens has given us the opportunity to expand our designs from flat surfaces & actually make our ideas take tangible shapes. In this session, participants will be creating 3D objects using stencils or free hand designs. Participants will leave with knowledge & resources that would be useful in designing & creating 3D objects in their classroom.
