Learn how our PK-8 school used an AI-powered bird call recognition device for an ongoing school-wide community science project! We'll share what we learned about the iterative process for designing a large-scale project and methods for connecting AI to nature and outdoor education. Participants will engage in hands-on activities to brainstorm curricular connections and get a taste for what our students learned about the strengths, limitations, opportunities, and risks of AI as well as birding and data visualization.
