In this session, teachers and other attendees will learn about four different tools for visualizing data: Google Sheets, Canva, PowerBI, and Tableau Public, and how to apply those tools in different scenarios in their practice: sharing data with students and using data to demonstrate effectiveness to administrators. The main objective is to give teachers more control over the large amounts of data they have, and help make it a tool in their practice rather than a hindrance. The session will consist of a warm-up activity, an introduction to the four platfoms woven with anecdotes about how I have used them in my own practice as an educator, and structured work time for teachers to practice using some of the tools on their own data.
