Description
To enact behavior change at scale, we need to make change both personal and systemic. Students want pragmatic tools that are focused, engaging, empowering, and inspiring. This will help prioritize and sequence transformation while upskilling students to activate kindness, compassion and their altruistic tendencies. This session is designed as highly interactive and experiential. Workshop Objectives: -Learn how to integrate appropriate instructional tools and materials to cultivate inquiry into kindness, compassion and altruism in any classroom setting. Suggestive lesson ideas from Steve's book and his Be The Change teaching model will be provided. -How to develop and apply experiential micro learning experiments and problem based learning to amplify existing benevolence and test existing barriers and obstructions to kindness and compassion. -How to create a classroom culture that is the change: a community that fosters a sense of belonging, acceptance, trust and connection.
