In this interactive playground session, elementary students, parent volunteers, and their teacher will showcase how community partnerships strengthen Digital Literacy and Computer Science (DLCS) instruction. Through coding activities, robotics challenges, digital creation projects, and computational thinking experiences, parent volunteers support students as they collaborate, problem-solve, and build confidence in their skills. Attendees will interact directly with students and volunteers, explore authentic examples of DLCS learning, and learn practical strategies for recruiting, preparing, and sustaining a volunteer-supported program. Through intentional training, clear structures, and a shared commitment to student success, parent volunteers have become valued contributors to our DLCS program. Participants will leave with actionable ideas for building meaningful family partnerships that expand learning opportunities and support student success
