Description
This session, led by an educator and an attorney, will explore the legal implications and complexities related to AI in our schools. The session will be led by an educator and attorney who will provide guidance on the legal considerations for integrating AI technologies in educational settings. The session will outline the legal frameworks that govern the use of AI in classrooms, provide insight into addressing copyright issues and safeguarding privacy rights, and ensure legal compliance when using these tools. We will also explore some tools that educators can feel confident using in the classroom. Attendees will have a greater understanding of key student data protection laws. Attendees will walk away with strategies for ethically implementing AI in classrooms and guiding students and educators. Educators will also understand the relationship between copyright issues and AI-generated educational materials. Examples of where to look and how to vet tools for educational use.
