Your Brain Has Too Many Tabs Open: Building a Second Brain for Educators
Description

“Your brain has too many tabs open.” This session explores how building a “second brain” can support executive functioning for educators, administrators, and students across all grade levels and settings. Participants will learn how to create simple, flexible systems to organize information, manage tasks, and reduce cognitive overload in both professional and learning environments. The purpose of this session is to provide practical strategies that improve focus, efficiency, independence, and overall productivity. Content will include an overview of executive functioning, the concept of externalizing thinking, and adaptable structures that can be used immediately in a variety of roles and contexts. Participants will be actively engaged through reflection, discussion, and hands-on planning as they begin designing their own personalized systems for real-world application.
