Art In The Digital Age: Utilizing digital tools to foster creativity and advance student artwork.
Description
Students’ educational experience now exists in a digital world, empowering students to safely use technology in ways that promote a positive future for all. Through integrating the arts into technology curriculum, students can think outside of the box and foster creative thinking. This proposal includes K-5 classroom-tested projects that enhance creativity, artwork, and technology skills using Wixie, Canva, Google Slides, animation tools, photography apps/devices, and coding platforms. Projects incorporate ELA and STEAM subjects through talking self-portraits, business creation, ABC books, digital advertisements, animation, coding video games, robotics, photography, and technology-based art centers. Participants will learn implementation strategies through hands-on experiences, classroom data, and observations while exploring creativity, problem solving, coding, engineering, digital art, design, and photography skills.
