Building Responsible AI Systems in Education: From Literacy to Implementation
Description
As generative AI becomes increasingly embedded in teaching, learning, and organizational workflows, education leaders need more than tool training—they need a clear framework for responsible implementation. This session will review state-developed AI materials designed to support K–12 schools and districts in building AI literacy, establishing shared expectations, and making thoughtful decisions about AI use. Participants will explore practical resources, including guidance for responsible use, human-in-the-loop decision-making, transparency, bias awareness, and policy development. The session will also showcase recently released materials to help educators, students, families, and school systems navigate the ever-changing AI landscape.
