Coding in a Flash: Mini Units with Micro:bits & ImagiCharms
Description
Discover how to bring flexible, meaningful computer science into any classroom using micro:bits and imagiCharms. Whether you have one hour or a full week, this session demonstrates how adaptable coding lessons can fit any schedule—from a single standalone activity to a four-day mini-unit. Grounded in equity and access, we will share inclusive strategies designed to spark creativity and computational thinking. We will specifically highlight how these highly visual, tangible tools engage all learners, with a focus on empowering girls and underrepresented groups. Attendees will leave with practical, field-tested ideas to build student identity and bring robust CS experiences to schools, even those without formal computer science programs.
