Name
Beyond Screen Time: Building Healthier Digital Learning Environments
Description
Technology is now embedded in nearly every part of the K–12 experience. Students move between laptops, learning platforms, smartphones, algorithms, and increasingly, generative AI. For educators, the challenge is no longer simply whether technology belongs in schools. The more important question is when it meaningfully improves learning—and when it does not.
This panel brings together educators to rethink what digital wellness looks like in today’s schools. The conversation will move beyond screen-time debates to examine attention, student agency, classroom technology use, AI, instructional design, and the habits and expectations schools create around devices.
