Many schools have MTSS structures in place, but the work can still feel fragmented, reactive, or focused on individual student referral rather than system design. MTSS² helps teams move beyond traditional MTSS by using data, instructional routines, staffing, schedules, materials, and team processes to identify needs earlier and coordinate support more effectively. In this interactive session, participants will explore the MTSS² framework and learn how to use four types of data: outcomes, instructional, perspectives, and systems data, to understand what students need and what the system must strengthen. Participants will examine how shared data routines and digital tools can support progress monitoring, intervention access, and collaborative decision-making across general education, special education, multilingual learner support, and leadership teams. Attendees will leave with an MTSS² decision-making routine and a practical planning tool.
