From Coaching to the Classroom: The Reality of EdTech Integration
Description
After more than a decade as an edtech coach, returning to a full-time classroom revealed an important truth: what sounds effective during professional development can look very different during actual instruction. This session explores the realities of edtech integration through both coaching and classroom perspectives. Participants will examine where technology integration succeeds, where it breaks down, and why even strong digital tools can fail without clear instructional purpose and thoughtful implementation. Attendees will identify common challenges that impact effective technology integration, evaluate when technology meaningfully supports learning, analyze authentic classroom examples, and explore practical strategies to improve workflow, engagement, and student accountability. Through interactive discussions, audience polling, reflection activities, and small-group analysis, participants will leave with realistic, sustainable approaches for stronger instructional practice.
