Reimagining Reading Instruction in the Age of AI
Description

Reading instruction is entering a new era, but the science behind how people learn to read is unchanged. In a world increasingly impacted by AI, educators must balance innovation with a strong commitment to the foundational components of reading instruction. This remains especially true for learners who struggle to acquire literacy skills. This session explores how evidence-based instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension can be strengthened through intentional integration of AI-supported tools and inclusive instructional practices. Participants will leave with practical strategies and ideas, inspired to ensure every learner has access to the strong literacy foundation they deserve. Capture the power of AI to make reading instruction more effective than ever.
