Inclusive by Design: Technology Strategies for a Wide Range of Learners
Description
Today’s classrooms include students with a wide range of learning profiles, communication styles, executive functioning needs, and accessibility challenges. In this collaborative session, an elementary technology teacher and a special education teacher will share practical, classroom-ready strategies for using assistive technology and digital tools to support diverse learners across grade levels and content areas. Participants will explore built-in accessibility features, adaptive tech tools, and instructional practices that help improve communication, organization, reading, writing, engagement, and student independence. This session will focus on approachable, realistic implementation strategies that educators can immediately bring back to their classrooms. Attendees will leave with resources, ideas, and confidence to create more inclusive and accessible learning experiences for all students — not just those with formal accommodations or IEPs.
