Teaching Students to Question is the Key to AI
Description
The Right Question is the Key to AI We have heard the extreme arguments. AI is the worst thing to ever happen to our students’ minds. AI has the most promise to empower our students to succeed in life. Pick one. If you do not prepare your students to use AI well then A will happen. To achieve B teach your students how to ask the most interesting lines of enquiry. It is no longer sufficient to ask one question and walk away with the answer. That is the old Google. The key to the creative use of AI is to become a tenacious indefatigable detective pursuing arguments and counter arguments to gain perspective and to learn to question what appears to be the truth. Come join us as we learn how to teach our students to develop lines of enquiry. Some of the ideas in this workshop are based on concepts developed by the Right Question Institute.
