PBS LearningMedia: A Transformational Digital Tool for the Modern (and Future!) Classroom
Description
In a dynamic edtech landscape, moving Forward means integrating impactful tools; going Beyond means transforming systems. This interactive workshop introduces PBS LearningMedia as a hub for thousands of free, standards-aligned resources for all levels and subjects. Participants will learn to navigate the platform, use the Lesson Builder, and integrate media-rich content including videos and interactives into any subject!
While we use the new American Revolution collection & Youth Media Challenge as our model to present the tool, this session is for everyone! Participants will engage in exploration to find tools specific to their own grade and subject. Attendees will leave with a ready-to-use digital lesson that integrates seamlessly with Google Classroom.
By replacing static materials with high-quality media, we move Forward by shifting students from passive to active, we push Beyond to prepare them for a rapidly evolving world, with knowledge they can bring with them!
