Leveraging NotebookLM for Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Description
Our Digital Literacy and Libraries Department has been leveraging NotebookLM to streamline systems for communication and to highlight potential areas for collaboration. This year we set out to see how the DLCS standards align with other content areas. It took many hours to go through individual Social Studies standards. Then we realized we could put standards documents into NotebookLM to create alignment recommendations. By creating a Google document with the Notebook requirements, we can review alignment with a few simple clicks. While we do need to carefully review the NotebookLM output, we are now more free to focus our time and energy on collaboration opportunities rather than clerical work.
We will also highlight other helpful uses of NotebookLM, including how it streamlined and organised information during MCAS administration. Participants will leave with a roadmap for using NotebookLM to streamline their own systems.
