Math in the Library? Yes, Please!
Description
Deb and Jen have been collaborating over the past school year on ways to incorporate more mathematical concepts into the library. As librarians it is very easy for us to connect across the curriculum and disciplines, but math is by far the one we connect with the least. Why is that? Math is everywhere, we just have to look for it. Together we will talk about how we applied the concepts taught during number corner, and other mathematical strategies to the sections within the library collection. We will also talk about mathematical concepts taught during coding, robotics, maker space projects, and general instruction.
