Make Assessment Actionable for Greater Student Growth
Description
This session shows how responsive teaching, not perfect lesson plans, drives learning. Participants will explore why plans falter in real classrooms and how formative assessment turns obstacles into opportunities. Through examples and routines, attendees will learn to check and respond in real time and leave with tools for teams. This session integrates perspectives from cognitive science, habit research, and classroom practice. Content highlights strategies for multilingual learners, students with IEPs, and varied readiness levels. Drawing on educators' experiences, it invites diverse viewpoints and broadens the dialogue on strengthening Tier I instruction to make grade-level learning accessible to all.
