Inclusive Innovation: UDL and AI Tools for Student-Centered Learning
Description
Most "AI for differentiation" sessions hand you a prompt and call it done. This one goes further. Drawing on practice from a school where half of students are multilingual learners or have disabilities, this session uses the Essential 5 Cs — Clickable, Choice, Curation, Collaboration, Connection — as a structured lens for redesigning lessons with AI. Participants work with Gemini as a thought partner to generate leveled texts, visual scaffolds, and sentence frames across ELA, Math, and Science. But the bigger shift is this: AI moves students from consumption to creation. We explore what that looks like in classrooms that serve every learner, not just the ones who already thrive. Participants redesign a real lesson live during the session — not as homework — and leave with something ready to use Monday, grounded in UDL 3.0 and the 5 Cs.
