Recognizing and Supporting Students with Anxiety in Tech-Integrated Classrooms
Description
Anxiety is one of the most common challenges students face, and in classrooms it rarely looks like anxiety. It shows up as disengagement, perfectionism, avoidance, or behavior. As technology becomes part of daily instruction, the way digital environments impact that anxiety matters more than most people realize. This session helps you recognize what anxiety actually looks like in students and respond in ways that are both supportive and practical. You will explore different types of anxiety, how they show up in tech-heavy learning spaces, and where classroom tools can either increase stress or help students feel more regulated and safe. Grounded in trauma-informed, human-centered practices, this session focuses on what you can do right away. You will leave with clear strategies like tech-supported check-ins, flexible structures, low-stakes ways to participate, and communication routines that support both well-being and learning.
