The AI Conversation: Talking to Students, Parents and Admin About What You’re Actually Doing
Description

Many teachers use AI quietly but find it hard to explain to parents and administrators. This session closes that communication gap by focusing on learning outcomes rather than only efficiency. Participants will learn clear ways to describe how AI supports instruction, practice translating technical jargon into plain language, and use evidence-based responses to address common concerns. The workshop includes ready-to-send templates—such as parent letters, administrator briefings, and classroom explanations—that model transparent, accountable AI use and build trust. Attendees will leave prepared to confidently communicate the pedagogical rationale, safeguards, and expected student benefits of classroom AI tools, fostering clearer conversations and stronger partnerships with families and school leaders.
