Screens: Teaching Humans in a Tech-Obsessed, AI-Saturated World (Keynote)
Description

Teachers are navigating a classroom reality where screens are everywhere, attention is harder to hold, and technology often feels both unavoidable and overwhelming. There is pressure to use digital tools — and frustration when they seem to do more harm than good.

This keynote doesn't start with hype or fear. It starts with the questions teachers are already asking themselves every day: When does technology help? When does it hurt? And how do we know the difference?

Through relatable classroom stories and real-world examples, this session explores how today's technology — from devices to AI tools — is reshaping learning, work, and student decision-making. Rather than offering another initiative or checklist, the keynote focuses on something teachers already do well: making thoughtful judgment calls.
