K-12 Cybersecurity Nightmares: Phishing, Compromised Accounts & Risky Third-Party Apps
Description
See how phishing, compromised accounts, and “trusted” third-party apps can quietly become some of your district’s biggest cybersecurity nightmares—and what you can do to find them before attackers do. In this session, we’ll examine how these threats develop inside Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 environments and why traditional security controls may not provide enough visibility on their own. We’ll connect real-world email threats—including phishing, lateral phishing, account takeover, and business email compromise—with practical security investigations such as reviewing suspicious logins, risky emails, file sharing, and third-party application access.
