An immersive classroom can transport students into a historical setting, place them inside a virtual film set, or let them present their work to a live audience. Its greatest value comes from what students do in the space: investigating, creating, collaborating, and building skills they can carry into future careers.
This session explores how educators and AV integrators can design immersive, multipurpose classrooms around learning outcomes and career and technical education (CTE) pathways. We’ll examine how projection, displays, spatial audio, cameras, lighting, and flexible production tools can support a range of activities throughout the school day—from interactive lessons and group work to content creation, broadcasting, film, marketing, VR/XR experiences, AI projects, and Unreal Engine development. Esports is one possible application within a space built to serve many programs.
We’ll also discuss how to connect the classroom to instruction through Platform1 courses in broadcast, digital media, marketing, game design, esports, and related fields. By pairing the physical environment with course content and hands-on projects, schools can provide students with opportunities to practice technical and creative skills, produce portfolio work, and explore career paths.
