Bringing Science to Life: Engaging Students Through Visual Learning
Description

Science concepts can be difficult for students to understand when they are abstract, complex, or impossible to observe firsthand. In this session, explore how JoVE K–12 can help educators bring science to life through visual, engaging instructional resources that complement classroom teaching. Participants will discover practical ways to use JoVE to introduce challenging concepts, reinforce learning, support differentiated instruction, and provide students with additional opportunities to see science in action. The session will also explore how visual learning can support student engagement, standards-aligned instruction, assessment readiness, and science learning across middle and high school classrooms. Attendees will leave with practical strategies for incorporating JoVE into everyday science instruction to help students move from simply learning science content to seeing, understanding, and applying scientific concepts.
