Laurie is an education leader and strategist dedicated to making deeper learning a reality for every student. As the founder of Laurie Gagnon Consulting, she partners with districts to navigate the "messy middle" of bridging vision and practice—focusing on performance-based assessment and the implementation of Portrait of a Graduate competencies.

Laurie combines national systems-level perspective with ground-level implementation expertise. She served as the Program Director for CompetencyWorks at the Aurora Institute, leading national knowledge-sharing on K-12 competency-based education, and led the Quality Performance Assessment (QPA) program at the Center for Collaborative Education (CCE). She is based in Somerville, MA.
