Tom Driscoll is passionate about helping educators navigate the evolving landscape of teaching and learning. As CEO of EdTechTeacher, he draws on real classroom experience to support teachers wherever they are in their journey with educational technology.
Tom’s path in education started in the classroom, teaching high school social studies in Connecticut public schools. His curiosity about blended learning led him to graduate research at Teachers College, Columbia University, where he explored practical approaches that actually work for everyday teachers. As Digital Learning Director for Bristol Warren Regional School District in Rhode Island, Tom led their Future Ready Educational Technology Initiative and 1-1 device program, always keeping the focus on what helps teachers and students thrive.
Tom shares insights from his experiences through writing and speaking, contributing to books on instructional technology and publications like Edutopia, EdSurge, and The New York Times. His 2022 book, Becoming Active Citizens (Solution Tree Press), reflects his commitment to preparing students for meaningful engagement with the world around them.
