Speaker Bio
Robert LePage serves as Assistant Secretary of Career Education in the Executive Office of Education (EOE). In his role he is primarily focused on K-12, post-secondary, higher education career educational program strategies to meet the talent and workforce needs of employers in the Commonwealth. He serves as EOE’s senior staff Workforce Skills Cabinet and serves as a member of the MassHire Sate Workforce Board, MA Military Asset and Security Strategy Taskforce, and is the Secretariat’s designee to the Board of Higher Education. Additionally, he serves as Secretariat’s designee on Discovery, Research and Innovation for a Vibrant Economy (DRIVE) Initiative, the Strategic Hub for Innovation, Exchange and Leadership in Defense (SHIELD) and the support of the BRIGHT Act: An Act to Build Resilient Infrastructure to Generate Higher-Ed Transformation.

Prior to joining the Executive Office of Education Mr. LePage served as Vice President of Foundation and Workforce Training for Springfield Technical Community College (STCC). In his role he led Training and Workforce Options a regional initiative between STCC, and Holyoke Community College focused on enhancing and accelerating the performance of industry in the Western Massachusetts region.
Prior to joining STCC he served for over a decade as Executive Vice President of a leading national educational consulting firm specializing in, strategic planning, workforce development and institutional advancement services. He has assisted over 150 colleges as well as state systems on workforce-oriented industry sector partnership development, industry need assessment, adult and youth career pathways and facility development initiatives. He initially joined the consulting group as the lead consultant for ACT, Inc., to spearhead the creation of a network of over two hundred and fifty workforce development certification, training, and assessment centers in partnership with community and technical colleges across the country. Bob has faculty and workforce training instructional experience at Community College and four-year college levels.
Mr. LePage holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts and a dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing, and Finance & Insurance from Northeastern University.
