Streamlining the Start: Crafting Tech Overview Videos Welcoming New Students (and New Colleagues)
Description
How do you ensure your school community is ready to navigate your digital landscape on day one? This session explores how to create tailored, interactive technology overviews that serve as a "digital compass," sharing excerpts from both student and faculty-facing examples. Drawing on the "Welcome to Technology at CA" model, we offer a blueprint to help you develop a comprehensive, yet succinct welcome that prioritizes digital well-being and a "least clicks" philosophy.
Drive Engagement: Use interactive prompts and action items (like Chrome profile setups and direct links to record name pronunciation) so users are doing, not just watching.
Tailor Content: Balance faculty needs (LMS, gradebooks) with student priorities (digital organization, tech policies).
Join us to learn how to get your community comfortable with tech systems at the very START of the year, empowering all to focus on what matters most: learning and connection.
