Laura has 20+ years of experience as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, curriculum lead, and library media specialist in Chelsea Public Schools. As an elementary library media specialist, Laura applies her experience and passion for children’s literature, digital literacy and STEM education to create innovative learning experiences for students that blend civics, information literacy, 21st century skills and deeper learning; she also focuses on personalized and blended learning models. Laura has been a long-time advocate for social studies and civics education at the district and state levels, as a member of the 2018 MA History and Social Sciences Curriculum Framework Review Panel and a member of the DESE HSS Leaders Network since 2021. Laura is also a Google Certified Educator, a Seesaw Pioneer, Discovery Education DEN Star, and a DonorsChoose Ambassador.
